SRPA AB College Pathankot

SRPA Adarsh Bhartiya College, originally established as Adarsh Bhartiya Mahavidyalaya in 1974, began its journey as an Arts College. Through the dedicated efforts of visionary philanthropists and educationists of Pathankot, the institution quickly earned the trust and admiration of the local community and witnessed steady growth.

The College expanded its academic horizons by introducing the Faculty of Commerce in 1978, followed by the Faculty of Science in 1984. Over the years, several job-oriented and career-focused programmes have been introduced to meet the evolving needs of higher education.

The academic portfolio now includes BBA, BCA, B.Sc. (Computer Science), B.Sc. (Information Technology), B.Sc. (Economics), M.Sc. (Information Technology), M.Sc. (Computer Science), M.Sc. Mathematics and M.A. English. Vocational subjects have also been introduced for Arts students to enhance employability and practical skills.

The College proudly offers AICTE-approved BBA and BCA programmes, recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Ministry of Education, Government of India. With the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, Guru Nanak Dev University introduced Four-Year Honours Degree Programmes from the academic session 2024–25, which are successfully being offered by the College.

To strengthen academic infrastructure, the College introduced two Smart Class Cum Seminar Rooms during the academic session 2025–26. The computer laboratories and administrative offices have been upgraded with additional computer systems, while the playground has been completely secured with wire mesh fencing to ensure the safety and well-being of students.

Today, SRPA AB College Pathankot stands as one of the leading institutions in the region, committed to academic excellence, character building, technological advancement and holistic development, preparing students to become responsible citizens and future leaders.
